We are a group of people from across the Stroud district who are horrified by the genocide unfolding in Gaza and the West Bank.

We are determined to do what we can however small to add towards the world wide mobilisation of people who are trying to stop these atrocities and help bring equality, justice and freedom to Palestinians living in Palestine.

Ahmed Alnaouq, co-editor of We are Not Numbers interviewed by Jehan Alfarra from the Palestine Museum

The We Are Not Numbers project was founded in 2014 to give voice to the youth of Gaza. Published earlier this year and spanning a period of more than ten years, a book of the same name collects the stories of 50 young people from Gaza.

Urgent and full of heart, it portrays their struggles, fears, and often terrible losses as they fight to be recognised not as numbers, but as human beings with hopes, dreams and lives worth living.

with Matthew Teller and Rt Reverend Rachel Treweek

Author Matthew Teller in dialogue with The Rt Revd Rachel Treweek, moderated by Judith Large.

This event will take a long-term perspective on the possibilities for a just peace for the inhabitants of the lands of Israel-Palestine, based on equal rights and dignity for all. Matthew Teller will explore the prospects for a just “two-state solution” and for alternatives such as a single state governed through “nonterritorial autonomy”. Bishop Rachel will speak in response from her Christian faith perspective and share reflections from being in Israel-Palestine. A dialogue will follow, in which Judith Large will bring in questions for the speakers from the audience as well as from her own perspective.

November 25
PSC Lobby of Parliament

Despite the ceasefire, Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip has not ended. Neither has its illegal occupation or brutal system of apartheid. As Palestinians continue to face violence and oppression, the British government remains deeply complicit in Israel’s ongoing violations of international law.

This is why we’re organising a mass lobby of Parliament on Tuesday 25th November, where we need as many people as possible showing up to pressure politicians into taking action. Join us and call for sanctions now!
